THE BFA FAMILY LOSES TWO VERY SPECIAL LADIES

The Barrel Futurities of America is more than an association; it’s a long standing family that has grown over the past 40 years. Today, this family is mourning the loss of a very dear Friend, Founder, Mentor and loved one, Pat Hutter.

In 1983 at Grand Prairie, Texas, Hutter was part of the group that founded the Barrel Futurities of America. She held the secretary position for 22 years until 2005.

Services for Pat will be held at the Cross Church in Springdale, AR at 2 PM on Saturday, January 4, 2025. The visitation is at 1 PM at Cross Church, also on Saturday, January 4, 2025.

We send our prayers to her family and friends. Thank you Pat for all you did for the Barrel Futurities of America Futurities as well as the sport of barrel racing!

Only one day after receiving the news about Pat, the Barrel Futurities of America became aware of the loss of another dear “family member”, Founder, President (for 18 years) and dear friend.

We are deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Florence Youree, who passed away at her home in Oklahoma on Jan 2, 2025 at the age of 91.

The barrel racing industry and community has lost an amazing person. We send our prayers for the family and will always be grateful for our founding members who have left such a legacy behind.

These two amazing women were not just Founders, board members and influencers, but they were best friends. The irony of the fact that the two left us at almost the same time shows that some bonds cannot be broken. We will miss them but we will never forget what they have done for and mean to The Barrel Futurities of America.
